My name is Yoko, a matchmaker for a happy marriage with a Japanese lady, based in Denmark. I am Japanese and have lived in Denmark since 2003. I am married to a Danish man for over 20 years, and have 3 children, who speak Danish, English and Japanese. They identify themselves as both Danish and Japanese and proud of it. My husband and I find it a gift that our children have taken the 2 cultures and languages from West and East quite naturally integrated in them.
Throughout my life after my marriage and settlement in Denmark, I was often asked by gentlemen in Europe, whether I could introduce my Japanese girlfriends to them for a serious relationship, as they had heard or found that Japanese ladies were beautiful not only by looking but also at heart and especially very much family oriented. My trip to Japan was wonderful. After several dates with M., I realized that we both had the same dreams and goals in life and were also enjoying each other’s company. On our fifth date, I proposed to her that we get married and live in Hawaii ; to my delight, she accepted and I presented M. with a diamond necklace to show my serious intent on our engagement for marriage. We spent the rest of my time in Tokyo together. In all, I was with M. for nine out of my fourteen days in Japan .
Now that we agreed to marry, it is a question of filling out the proper paper work to legally have M. live in Hawaii with me. I would appreciate your input and help in properly navigating this process – I am sure you have seen others through the same process.
I appreciate any information that you can impart to me or a direction I can take in order to make this process go as smooth as possible.
I just came back from taking M to the airport. We had a very good time together. We went from the airport to New York , where she met my parents. They like her very much, and she likes them. The next day, we went to a Mexican restaurant for her birthday (her birthday is May 5th, which is Mexico ‘s Cinco de Mayo holiday). We met some of my friends there, with their children, and had a good time, too.
Then, we drove to Maryland , and just relaxed for two days. I showed her where I work and a few sites in the area. But, we both kept falling asleep and taking naps, so we decided to just relax for most of the two days. My cats like her, too. One of them, Genji, is very shy with strangers, but he liked M and stayed near her. Sasha, my older cat, is very friendly with strangers, but he was a little cautious about M. I think it’s because I was away for 2 days when we were in New York , and then M (a stranger) came to the house, so it was a little stressful for Sasha. He’s very good at sensing what kind of person someone is, and I think he likes M, but wasn’t in a friendly mood.
M will arrive Friday in Japan , and she said she will email you soon. I’m going to go there in late July or early August to visit and meet her friends. With 2 trips to Japan , plus the garden, plus general house things, it’s an expensive year for me, but it’s a good year, too. 🙂

I did not really expect much to come from signing up in February of 2006.
Maybe a few months of email exchange or something, but certainly not a marriage. Was I ever wrong!! Before February was over, I had contacted a few women. Eventually, I was only emailing with one woman. On July 28, 2007, I married that woman in a traditional ceremony at 東京大神宮。
Japanese wife I first met her in June of 2006. We spent every day of that week together. Then in late August she came and visited me in the US. We met in New York a few days before Christmas to do some shopping for our families, then we came back to my house and she spent the holiday with my family. On her last day here, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes! I went back to Japan in March to meet her family. We decided on a Japanese wedding to be followed by a reception in the US.

My Japanese Wife Changed My Life. She is a Matchmaker.
During the winter of 2006, I met a Japanese woman in California. She appeared in my life all of a sudden. Her name was Naoko Matsumoto. At the time, she visited her client who was one of my best friends, who I was also visiting, and that’s how we met.
Naoko and I got married in October 2006. We didn’t know each other for a long time before we decided to get married. At first, I thought who is this cheerful and open-minded woman? She was a welcome relief to me after dating overly cautious and jaded American women. As we spent time together chemistry developed and we enjoyed each other’s company. And, then we both fell in love with each other.
Naoko and I moved from California to Maryland, embarking on an 11 days drive, where our home sweet home is now. We have a beautiful son.
Meeting my wife changed my life for the better and our happiness together has continued for over 12 years!
Last weekend, J (her name) and I got engaged! She came to Toyama and I took her out to a nice French restaurant. There I proposed to her and she accepted. I gave her an engagement ring!
We had a wonderful evening together going to a cocktail bar and also seeing some live Jazz.
We are both extremely happy and plan to have our wedding next summer on August 15th in Vancouver.

I never thought I`d be able to find the lady of my dreams, but now I have!
While we are still navigating the visa process, we manage to spend more time together than apart by visiting each other in Japan and the U.S. And taking trips within each country where we can experience new things and create memories together. We enjoy introducing our hobbies and interests to each other. And we are trying to discover new interests that neither of us have yet experienced.
